Just sat down so no reads. My standard for AK is to 4 bet shove but pushing here seems a little overboard.

Raise. They could have any sort of garbage. We're no deeper than 100 bb's, either

shoving blows here

i think fold, squeeze, call in that order weighted heavily towards folding...

i would fold, button isnt stealing vs a UTG raise

Shoving definitely blows, thats why I said its overboard. I think squeezing sucks too though in that I have to make it at least 12 to go and then c/f a flop if I miss it. But folding seems weak tight.

I call here often. the preflop min3bet could be a whole lot of random crap. It might be slightly -EV preflop but I like to see a flop before throwing this away.

I don't get why people say that raising here isn't standard. UTG min raised, and the BTN re-min raised him. These are both idiot plays. UTG could have any sorts of random garbage, and BTN could have anything from a mid pair to high suited connectors. Are you really putting one of them on AA or KK?

ya i agree this is an ugly spot, but i dont think folding is that bad. we are oop and will miss a lot of flops, coupled with the fact that we really dont know what flops are good for us. squeezing forces us to make some really difficult flop decision, but it should give us some fold equity and let us know if we are crushed. calling seems bad to me, but it may not be as bad as squeezing. if we call we will be oop in a bloated pot and still have no clue what flop we really like and so on. then again we are ahead here a decent amount, and have a solid amount of equity a good portion of the time we are behind. so meh.

i still think folding is superior, but there is merit to other choices...

fish who dont know how to size their bets correctly can also have AA/KK.

AK is a dog vs any pair, we are OOP, so we really need to just push, because making a 4bet will just mean we will have to push on flop if we hit or miss, as the cbet will be too large a % of our stack.
i just dont think its not worth getting it in here, when, 2 players have shown strength even if they do have problems with bet sizing.

oops, didn't notice hero was not UTG. Given that I like folding/squeezing better but leaning towards fold without a read on both players.

I usually flat and hope to flop something. I don't really want to play a big pot oop, but AK has too much value to just throw away. I'd like to see 5 cards so a c/r on a semi dry board is also a decent idea.
