Villian is 24/13, kind of a station pre but seems pretty competent post flop. I put him on a overpair, maybe a scared 2 pair. I usually regret it when I do [censored] like this but this seemed like a good spot. I usually check the turn, but he folds the turn after peeling the flop a ton so I decided to take another stab at it. Thoughts?

After he calls the turn I just give up. That board is really connected, and he doesn't seem like the most solid player. We might have SD value against JhTh or something, but I just don't think he folds a better hand ever.

there are some ahxh hands he could lay down, i can think of 3. your line really looks like a bluff or 77. you are checking behind all big pairs/sets here almost always. if he is thinking he probably isn't laying down a set or two pair. if he is a total nit that isn't thinking he probably will lay down anything that isn't a 7 or 2

It's just that if he has a high fold to turn bet percentage, he's generally not folding the river unless, like you said, he has AhXh. That doesn't make up a big enough percentage of his range for us to justify a shove.

Also - I think your turn bet should be like 12.

Hard too represent a strait here as you open raise pf and bet out hard on the flop. If you had the strait this play would be awesome /images/graemlins/smile.gif. I think you are called by 2 pair+ here.

thanks for the input, he tanked then called with 56o, I kicked my cat and reminded myself that I suck at bluffing.

Vital info missing ... what where you running ?

If you're running a standard tag game, practically none of your range hits that board (except for a few unlikely SCs) .... are you running a lag game, I like it better, but still not much.

You are repping an overpair, and two pair beats that.

I'd say bet just under pot here if you decide to fire the 3rd bullet. Shove here seems to be a missed draw, esp after turn bet was kind of weak. Personally, I'd take the free card and release if missed.

I can't imagine a whole lot of hands that you are representing that the 8 wouldn't scare you.

Haha, your custom title should be changed to " I fire 3 shots like a pr0n star". Haha /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
