I've been at the table a few orbits, but no stats on anyone. Overall, the table had been playing quite tight.

This is the second time villain has open shoved. The first time he had 99 and held against AQ. He has played a few hands in between so he isn't shoving every hand.

I wasn't really sure what to do. Call and fist pump? Fold since there's nothing in the pot? Obviously, against a maniac I instacall. Since he had been playing 'normally' I felt like he had a little bit of a hand.

Im pretty happy getting it in with AK 50 bb's deep against this guy. If he is able to shove 99, he can also probably shove AQ and AJ.

Call, and it's not close.

Profish explained why.

we're 53/47 against his range, so call if you like flipping coins for 47BB's.

fwiw even though were only a slight fav. against his range, calling against and being up against JJ is only slightly -ev, while folding when he has AQ is very, very -ev. Thats why I call.

I call and hope he's actually pushing a tighter range than ATC but all Ax, which seems plausible.
