Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LeggoPoker (http://www.leggopoker.com)Hand History Converter (http://www.leggopoker.com/hh)

SB: $83.80
Hero (BB): $50
UTG: $47.95
CO: $27.35
BTN: $144.80

Pre-Flop: Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif K/images/graemlins/heart.gif dealt to Hero (BB)
UTG raises to $1, 2 folds, SB calls $0.75, Hero calls $0.50
KQs, definitely good enough to call from the BB since the SB came along

Flop: ($3) 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif T/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 Players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks
I didn't bet the flop because I didn't really have anything and it is a very bad flop texture imo.

Turn: ($3) 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.85, UTG calls $2.85, SB calls $2.85
Sweet a combo draw, might as well bet out to at least try and thin the field especially since everyone checked the flop.

River: ($11.55) A/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $7, UTG raises to $20, SB folds, Hero raises to $46.15 and is All-In, UTG calls $24.10 and is All-In
Sweet, nut flush, standard value bet. When he raises I put him on any Ace or possibly a lower flush the way it was played.

Results: $99.75 Pot ($2 Rake)

I have been at the table for 10 hands, so no reads. Is there anywhere you play this hand differently? If so where? I know it may be difficult with no reads, but I'm sure most people here have an opinion /images/graemlins/grin.gif

this is fine IMO, if the stacks were deeper i'd just call the river raise though.

Without any stats/reads I fold preflop.
River shove is standard because I think a normal guy will raise turn with a set on this board. But who knows....

Yah, I've been trying to loosen up a little bit this month. Loosening up OOP isn't exactly the best idea, but I will use the metagame excuse for this one.

Metagame with an unknown at 50NL?

IMO preflop is bad because will put you in very marginal situations when you hit. In this hand for example you have the nut flush and still don't know feel very comfortable. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I didn't realize is a mini raise. Anyway is still a raise from UTG from an unknown and we are OOP.

this is fine. lol @ folding KQ soooted to a min-raise. just be cautious after the flop and dont take 1 pair to the felt.

like even if we're way behind PF we're getting sick odds to get in. yes we're exposed to marginal situations but we're poker players, and to be honest - all hands from all positions will become marginal the higher we play so the absolute worst thing that can happen is we get a little wiser and our read on the other guy gets a little better.
call allll day.

also, I like the river shove, he never ever folds an ace and rarely has a boat.

dude it was a mini raise......

i'm calling a mini raise here vs. 100% of opponents 100% of the time.......

Damn.. i see the Full House (AT) or something and trap on flop, and i just call river-raise. But w/o stats - well played.
