How do you guys play this? Should I have checked behind on the river to avoid a checkraise?

SB has 4ish left behind him. He's almost definately ahead at this stage and is pot committed.

You're not going to get any value from disguising your draw with a big raise and you're certain to get called (FE=0).

You've got around 25% equity if he's got 2pair or better (i.e. worst case scenario) and you need to make up 17.6% of the pot.

I'm calling here and shutting down if I don't hit one of my 11 outs.

What about the semi-bluff? I think it was OK. Anyone disagree?

As played, easy call.

Would anyone advocate making it $1.5 on the flop?

Check turn with no spade giving free river with position if a spade comes.

Just a thought.

yea I would raise this flop bet. I HATE it when people call a raise preflop and donk the flop for 25cents..., as played call turn and hope you hit...

SB doesn't show strength, BB looks like the typical mindonker. I ignore his flopbet and just cbet: we have probably some folding equity because they don't show any strength.

If called we have still 9 outs. But the main advantage is that we probably can take a free card on the turn, because we discourage donking there. This is because of 2 reasons:
1) Either our opponents have a marginal holding and don't have the guts to bet into us on the turn.
2) They have a monster. The types that c/c the flop, usually c/r the turn, but that won't happen since we check behind.

Summary: bet your nutflush draw on the flop.

raise flop and call a short shove, as played spite shove the turn, i think your equity could be higher than you think
