I normally play FR but have been working on my shorthanded game. Villian has been running 51/11/2 over about 50 hands. Villain's play was generally poor (taking hands too far) and he was behind for the session(started with a $10 stack). I've been playing 21/9 for the same amount of hands. Limping a little more than normal. I generally run about 21/12 when I play 6max.

SB ($1.73)

UTG ($7.34)
Hero ($6.31)
Button ($19.49)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.
UTG calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.2, 3 folds, UTG calls $0.15.

Flop: ($0.47) 4/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.3, UTG raises to $1.3, Hero?

I realize my flop bet was a little weak. I really didn't think he would have had AK or AQ here, cause he would have probably raised those preflop.

I really hate this hand but based on your reads and his AF he really could have any random A here. I want to raise this bet on the flop but that line really seems like we'll be playing for stacks. Is this hand (assumed unimproved) too weak for that based on being over 100BB deep?

I've seen villain's do this with all sorts of random aces. I usually raise here. Doubtful he has AK, AA, or KK. The most likely things he has that beat us are 44 and A4, but the fact that he's a 51/11 leads me to believe our J kicker is good.

hmmm I find that at this level resistance this strong means that 1 pair with a jack kicker it not the best hand...You should be raising more PF playing 6 max, 21/12 is not nearly as aggressive as is suggested.

That's hero stats. Villain is 51/11/2, which 2 is pretty high considering he plays half of his hands.

I am making a suggestion to OP to be more aggressive, not talking about villian

The great thing about no-limit is that many styles can be winning styles. Finding the style that works for you is really what it's all about. Playing 14/8 at NL25 FR and switching to 21/12 feels like I'm playing every stinkin hand. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't play 6-max much - is this now out of date? (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=ssplnlpoker&Number=494666 9&fpart=1&PHPSESSID=)
