A hand I've played a few minutes ago:

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker (http://www.legopoker.com)Hand History Converter (http://www.legopoker.com/hh)

MP: $16.80
CO: $10
BTN: $7.60
SB: $4.25
Hero (BB): $9.30
UTG: $8.30

Pre-Flop: A/images/graemlins/heart.gif K/images/graemlins/heart.gif dealt to Hero (BB)
UTG calls $0.10, MP calls $0.10, <font color="red">CO raises to $0.50</font>, 2 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.70</font>, UTG folds, MP calls $1.60, CO folds

Flop: ($4.05) T/images/graemlins/club.gif 4/images/graemlins/club.gif J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP checks

Turn: ($4.05) Q/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $2.50</font>, MP calls $2.50

River: ($9.05) K/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 Players)
Hero checks, MP checks

Results: $9.05 Pot ($0.40 Rake)
MP mucked 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7/images/graemlins/heart.gif and LOST (-$4.20 NET)
Hero showed A/images/graemlins/heart.gif K/images/graemlins/heart.gif (a straight, Ten to Ace) and WON $8.65 (+$4.45 NET)

Was I correct to check on the river or did I leave too much value here?

How could you have played this bad he showed no strength and you bet the card that made your hand and should of scared him off. We cant call a raise but as played its fine.

What were you planning on doing if villain bet?

edit: and by bet I mean shoved since you only have about $5 left.

If villain bet I wouldn't know what to do to be honest.. I think I might fold. What do you guys recommend if he did?

I was just going to say that if you were going to c/c you should be betting the river.

But folding seems bad so c/f can't be good and c/c is definitely bad. Only option is to bet imo.
