Effective stacks are 47$. Villian is a bit of a clown, not super aggro but doesn't really 'get' poker. I've been cbetting a lot. It is 3 handed, he limps the c/o, I raise from the sb with A /images/graemlins/heart.gif Q /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, and he calls. Flop comes out:
A /images/graemlins/club.gif5 /images/graemlins/heart.gifK /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
I bet 4$, and he calls. Turn is the
5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Meaning if he has an ace, I'm splitting unless it is AK, and then I am losing. So I check, and he bets $6.45. I call
River is the
J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
and I check. Pot is 24$. He pushes all in for 39$, and I fold. Standard?

Standard, he prob shows up with AK, AJ alot here, maybe even A5 if he's a real idiot.

If he has A5 then it is suited. I was thinking he probably had AJ, but something stupid like 56 or 45 is in his range too.

Not nitty at all. You're hoping to split and even though he's a clown this call isn't going to be profitable. If he's really passive, then I'm not even sure the turn call is a good as you scoop the pot just about never (but if he's even somewhat aggro, it's of course an easy call). The times he has a five alone hugely outweighs the times this is a dumb bluff, not even considering more reasonable hands like AK and AJ.

I think the ranges you posted are too tight. It's 3-handed and villain's not exactly a good player, playing A5o, K5s, etc. Heck, not playing those hands in position 3-handed is weak.

Edit: Question, how is he limping CO 3-handed? Do you mean button?

Yes, button, sorry. 4th player just left, so 'he' had the button, but no one was in the seat. Thanks for your responses.

yeah you're right, missed the fact that it is 3 handed. His range is probably much wider.
