Villain is 40/6/2 in the session and was more than capable of pulling a bluff. he tried the minimum raise, big bet river tactic to try and push me off some hands, but when i played back at him he folded. thoughts on how to play this hand please? also should i have 3bet PF? BTN was a new player and had no stats or reads on him.

Pre-flop: I think calling against this villain is fine, if he were more aggro pre-flop I would probably 3-bet as his range would be wider, against this villain I think calling is fine.

Flop: You're realistically behind AA, AK and AQ. I think those are the only hands in his PFR range that he's raising with AND beating you on this flop. With that said I would probably lead this flop for 2/3 pot, I think this would be an kinda-sorta-okay spot for a check-raise but I'm not sure.

Turn: As played I call and plan to call villains river bet since he'll have < PSB on the river. Raising or leading the flop makes playing this turn easier.
