Whatever happened here? It was supposed to have 30 days right? Wasn't that 30 days ago? How come everyone just stopped talking about this? Any updates?

Because the judge has some ethics and doesnt spill hints to Costigan during hot phone sex sessions. If I had to geuss Id say the longer before the decision comes, the better for us.

I agree. IMO, if the judge was going to dismiss the lawsuit, she would have by now. I still think that both motions will be denied and the case will proceed to discovery and trial on the merits whether a final injunction should be granted.

It's Oct 26th and all is quiet...do deadlines mean absolutely nothing?

Its the government. They really arent beholden to any one. Maybe the judge has new questions or has asked counsel to refrain from public statements. Trust me, the longer this takes to come out, the better. If she was going to throw it out, she would have long ago. Obviously, something is afoot, maybe to do with reviewing the released/proposed regulations. If a big ruling in our favor was to come, she would want to prepare certain government places in advance. She IS a political appointee after all.

If your a lawyer or a litigant, deadlines mean a lot. Missing them can lead to your case being dismissed.

If, however, you are a judge, deadlines are merely guidelines. The judge just might be busy, or on vacation, or actually thinking about the case some more. There is no process to force a judge to issue a decision by a certain time.

Apparently we are on decision watch, but Costigan is such an unmitigated A S S this could just be another fluff piece.
