My read on this guy is that he loves to slowplay to the river despite the texture of the board. I felt like his bet was more than likely air on the turn so I c/r, but once he calls that obviously all changes. I figure the river is a clear bet but then he raises and here I am.

I'd agree with you, I think villain has got a fairly good jack (JT, J9, maybe even QJ) and doesn't believe you've spiked a king.

On the other hand, my concern is that if he's passive, he may even have KJ, but I don't think you can worry about that.

well if that's your read, your assumption of him having air on the turn seems contradictory.

But anyway - if you put him on air, then turn c/r is fine, river bet is mandatory. Considering he just min-raised you - i'll have to call this one.

Heres the thing, while I am getting amazing odds to call, doesnt this seem to stink of value town? The way the hand worked out it really seemed like he had a 3 as once the overcard hits, I bet again, and he still raises.

yes - it stinks of value town, but have you seen him do this min-raise before? If not, I have to call this time around and then make a note that min-raises to a decent sized bet means he has a good hand.

The reason I have that read on him is that everytime he was in a RAISED pot he would slowplay his big hands til the river, whether he was the pf bettor or not. But this is a limped pot so I figured the dynamic was different. Also, in a hand against the bb, how does the co not bet with any pair when it is checked to him?

Don't raise turn with air in a limped pot... If you win it, wow big deal, you won 1$....

Why shouldnt I raise someone if I think they are FOS, regardless of the pot size?
