I have JTs from the SB. I have a short stack of $30 and the other two players in the hand have close to 100.

TAGish type Button raises to 3. I call. BB calls.

Flop comes Jc 8s 4c

I bet 5, BB folds, button calls.

Turn comes 2c. I bet 9 and Button calls.

River comes 4h. What is my play. Do I check and call any bet here considering I have around 17 left?

Also, if I have a full stack (which I almost always do), what is my river play (bet 15 and fold to a raise?)

3bet or fold pf if you're short-stacking the game. Your implied odds aren't there oop with a suited connector, even if it's the nicest one.

I would raise or fold preflop dependant on villain, if he has large butoon raise range this is a 3bet, if he is not positionally aware this is a clear fold. Villain will likely have a stronger hand in position, you are gonna be outmanouvered post flop every time.

With your 30bb stack you should defiantely not be playing JTs which needs implied odds and position to make it favourable.

so.....Fold preflop......or 3 bet with 100bb stack.
