Wow he played this really crappy if he does have an ace. I would just call here and make a note that he's pretty passive. Could be K10, KJ, or basically any pocket pair. I think given his scared play I would call.

hes got 40 bb, seems little weird to raise from 8 bb to 40 and hope he calls with some random hand.

Instashove preflop vs. a 40 BB player. It's not too much more than a pot sized raise.

I like that line pf, but as played I think you should call this. His range is so wide, and I think you can make this a call.

4bet pf to 6-7 - call his shove.

as played I think a turn bet would be in order.
