Why are we checking the turn?
Fold river.

you made this a difficult hand by checking the turn. we are betting 100% of the time in that spot and folding to a raise most of the time

yeah checking the river there is bad, he can call you there with alot of hands that you have beat. By checking the river you show to much weakness and he takes advantage of that on that meaningless river. Thats my view.

The fives couldnt have helpen him, he wouldnt check a set after you checked the flop so i will put him on aj at

i didnt check river i made a value/blocking bet

and i checked the turn because i play bad.

wtf do you guys think he has?

he insta raised too..maybe i should have looked him up, i cant think of any hands that take his line except MAYBE slowplayed 66..everything else i can think of i beat

This is only hard because you underrepped your hand completely. I mean you check the turn and then weak lead the river; this guy seems aggro enough to bluff-raise frequently in this spot. If I play the hand like this, I'm snapcalling.

The only hand he can ever have here that beats you is 66.

yeah the more i think about it the more i think i hve to call

I would never fold in this spot

1. A 25/18/3 is unlikely to not be raising PPs from the CO, so a set is unlikely.
2. basically your line looks like complete BS and I think you're going to get raised by air here by a thinking player a lot.
3. What is beating you? The only thing I can put him on is a float with some random 5 that got there on the river. Is this guy really going to limp/call with a hand like A6?

Pot was about $16 and you bet $5 - pretty weak.

If you were beat, you were beat on the flop.

He thinks any ace is good b/c the queen kicker will play.

Maybe he even has a queen and wants to fold an ace.

Who knows??

You are getting 2:1 or so and I call this.

I would expect to see some middle pocket, queen or ace.

i say raise to like 11-12 turn, shove river... as played bet like 8-12 on river, dont know if your good here or not, lost info on turn

also ive played with you before

ya my line looks bluffy i didnt really think it thru fast enough at the time, this hand really bugs me now cuz its so unlike me..usually im firing the turn 100% of the time, i have NO idea why i checked..all i can put him on is J10,K10, or any ace thinking its chop trying to fold me out

wems- i like the turn bet you suggested, but that commits me for river..i dont really know whats calling a shove there? maybe an ace thinking its chop?
and what did you think of my play? whats your sn?

what does a 25/18/3 limp from the CO behind 1 limper? I run about the same and my limping range is pretty small (I raise everything to be honest). I used to limp low sc, low pp, maybe weak Axs.

Agree with thoman8r that villain probably would limp PPs so set is probably out. With the call on flop- probably put him on Ax (X= anything if suited) and maybe JQ,10Q. The turn check and river bet are so weak that he could think his A (Q kicker) or Q pair beat anything you have. You're probably ahead but played it a little differently from the norm. I hope you used this weak (but really strong) approach and called his river bet.
