I think KK would 4-bet preflop, and Q would scare JJ or worse. Should I have just called turn?

Uh, no. Bet/shove flop most of the time. Good news is you have position and because of 3bet the pot is sufficently large enough to get it in by river. But, no reason real to give a free card.
