It seems fine to me. A big chunk of Villain's range is going to be hands that didn't improve the way he hoped they would. And he's not super-passive, and he may take a stab.

Meanwhile, I doubt he's checking a Q, and if he happened to flop a flush, well, it's quite likely he'll make a smallish river bet out of fear that you'll fold.

How many hands do you have on villain? He's pretty passive but I would imagine he's still usually raising a flush at least on the turn if not the flop. So check/call to induce bluff from missed diamond draw looks good to me.

I'm not slowing down, bet $2 on river and call push. Still allows him to push with air. And, there is still value in betting.

i think the chances of him bluff raising a $2 bet with a bare Ad are ~nil.

i check call this river

FWIW, the play seems to be gaining in popularity at the NL25 (which has its annoying side, since auto-slowplaying monster hands remains even more popular -- but at least the bluff-raises are often smallish). I don't know how things are at the NL10.

Yeah, this is what I'd do too, for reasons I explained in an earlier post.

have ~60 hands on villain. looked back on the stats and I am the one and only steal attempt vs him

I think you played it fine, you extract value from bluffs of missed draws here and by betting you only get calls from better hands and some worse Q's, but definitely not from the missed flushdraw.

I like your line here.

Check/call is perfect.

Check raise is stinky.

I like the check call on this one too.
