Hi again /images/graemlins/smile.gif

This time i have reads. Villan was 20 / 12 / 2.0 on 50 hands. I call the flop to reeval turn. Since he seemes tight and I am not so strong (but he is afraid of the ten)I choose Pot Control and bluff induce over bet turn. You like?

This is how I play this hand a lot.

You see them showdown so much random napkins its like printing money.

I'd much rather bet the turn. Board is drawy (a 5 can give him a straight, or he could have a FD to go w/overs). On the turn it looks like you're ahead and I'd put him on missed overs as I don't think a set checks this scary board. I like b/f turn. As played I think the river call is good.

Umm yeah, actually I would take the bet turn check riv behind line more often but if he has an overpair your losing money anyway

but he won't call a turn bet if he is beat!

I don't think you can always look at the hand from that point, here it's a relatively drawy board so you should protect your equity, most of the time if river hits any draws villain will check to you and you can check behind knowing that you got as much money in as possible when it was still good when by inducing a bluff you could see a lot of scare cards on the riv which he will be either repping or vbetting.

I float in spots like this alot, so I like to Float alot, so I bet alot of these turns just as I would with overs here. You can always check the river, since you are in position.

Bet turn for value, this is an Ace a whole lot. Not too much, maybe ~9. Tempted to value bet river too but checking behind is probably best.

I liked the way you played it.

I think worrying about draws on the turn is a bit paranoid, the draws are weak sauce, and if he does draw out, he's not getting paid. I think keeping the pot under control and inducing bluffs earns more money and is safer.
