I might have bet a little more on turn but I don't think it's a big deal. Played fine IMO

Good Laydown imo.

Just curious as I'm trying to understand. Do we think he was calling along with an Ace? Are we afraid of his taking terrible odds on flop and turn w/ a FD?

Although we "don't beat anything on the river," what specifically are we worrying about that fits his actions? A set?

no we either believe that he has a pair already with the ace or he has the flush.

I've seen plenty of villains call down big flop and turn bets w/flush draws. Also, villain could have AQ or some other strange Ace. The thing is, if villain had a queen or some other decent made hand that we beat he's probably just checking through on the river as the ace will scare him.

I think this hand is played pretty much perfectly, good fold on the river.
