No reads on villain.
Should my raise be bigger pf? Is it ok to bet the turn? Becuz of his limp pf I was not gonna bet the turn again cuz we are often against a set here, specially when he just calls the flop. But with no reads I decided to bet one more time and fold if he raises. Standard?

Just call w/AJ in the SB after a couple limpers. It's a bad hand to play OOP especially against unknowns. Otherwise I play it the same but I bet a little more on the flop ($5 or so).

Nice hand.

Raise to 3 preflop, but I'd rather just call with 2 people in the pot already. Flop is standard. You're beat on turn according to baluga.

Thanks guys.

it's not baluga because hero wasn't c/r'd in this hand. however, a call + raise on the turn is a pretty strong line given a pretty dry board, so nice hand.

I'd either raise to $3 preflop to try to take down the pot preflop, or call since SB is the worst position to play in and see what the flop brings.

Well played.

Would you raise KQ (suited or no) here as well? Just curious.

yes. The limpers never have premium hands, value raise all the way. Limping is ugly imo.

I'd play this hand a lot weaker. I don't really like the raise pf facing 2 limpers in the sb. good fold on the turn.

why don't you like raising pf

Because it's a tough hand to play, especially OOP in a raised pot... But if AZ says raise I'd go with that.

ughhh I think I agree with milky here, the only reason we'd raise is if we think we can get everyone to fold, otherwise we'll be playing a marginal hand oop in a pretty big pot.

this is probably just my new theory of avoiding marginal situations when necessary.

There should be no raise preflop. Complete and see the flop. What milky said.

I would almost never raise AJ there unless I knew that the 2 limpers would fold a lot of the time. What would normally happen is that you inflate the pot with a decent hand and then play it oop against 2 people. You can't usually c-bet so you are hoping to actually hit the flop which only happens 30% of the time and you still might not be ahead. Just doesn't seem profitable.

After that you played it well.

I meant to say "possible", but still, this is never a situation when I raise unless the limpers fold.
