You have 2 options here:
1. Raise to $1.8. Here you can find out where you are at.
2. Or you can call and reeval turn. You have position so.

I would lean towards option 1.

I don't really like the preflop call, you're going to be unsure of where you are for the rest of the hand. If you've both been aggressive until now I think I like a raise better, or just fold and wait for a better spot. What do other people think?

On the flop I would raise to 2, and check fold turn/river if he calls that.

Fold pre, or if you really want to defend raise it up

Just fold preflop. Unless villan is a complete idiot, I don't think there's a lot of value in defending with a hand like Q6.
