Villain is generally solid, 20/17/2 over 58 hands, but his aggression has come from the button, where he's raised nearly half his hands. Up this point, I had been a pushover -- I had nothing to play back with. I thought this hand was good enough to come back over the top of him and likely get a laydown. When he called, I wasn't sure what to do, so what follows is bad post-river play.

My image, btw, had to be fairly aggressive, 23/19/5

I was actually going to check raise a c-bet on the flop trying to rep a jack.

Keep in mind that when you are trying to c/r that you know

that he is going to bet this flop.

Since you have been playing so tight in your blinds you

most likely would have been able to take down the pot on

the flop. If he has anything he will call. You can bet

again when the flush dousnt hit (to bad it did) or c and

fold to further agression.
