villain is tight, pretty straightforward. I expected him to raise me if he had a big hand on the flop.

Eh, I fold river. Likely he has AQs or something here. This isn't a draw heavy board, so it appears he's repping a strong ace.

its true, thats what hes repping. but i didnt buy it because he probably would have raised the flop.

I think I'm calling here based on pot odds, and also because your two checks showed weakness -- he could be trying to represent a value bet. But... this one is a spot I find myself in often, so I'd love to hear other responses.

maybe he just called the flop in worried that you might have AA, KK, or AK, but when you checked the turn he took that as a sign that his hand was good.

although he probably would raise to find out if he was against one of those three hands here. I suppose he could have a lower A, but A10s and A9s are the only hands I think he would call with IP here; AQ is much more common imo
