How many players end up registered for the aussie millinos freeroll that u can opt in and out of in the promotions. wondering if its worth it to play in rather then take the extra 100 medals

Last week there were just over 200 in Aussie freeroll
How many places pay out? Is it just one seat? I'm on the verge of hitting it this time and I have it set to medals. I'll probably take the medals anyway since I suck at NLHE.

2 seats are given away per freeroll, and they value the package at $18,000 so prize pool is $36,000.
One thing to note is that the value of the freeroll reduces your MGR, which hits rakeback. So last week a seat was valued at $36k / 200 = $180, which means most people who played in the freeroll "paid" $70 in cash value to play (from the reduced rakeback of 27% x $180 = ~$50 plus the ~$20 value of the optional 100 bonus medals that you have to give up to play ).
All in all, so-so value since the package is cool, but most people would not pay $18,000 cash out of pocket for it.
Personally, I'd maybe pay 1/2 of that which means I'm paying about $70 for a lottery ticket worth $90 that has a 1 in a 100 chance of paying out. So I may bag it this month.

do the bonus medals cut into your mgr?
Medals don't cost MGR till you use them for bonus and only as normal. Write this down a thousand times.

as normal? what is normal. Lets say i use 650 medals for 25k ftp points. how much does that take off mgr? sorry im new to this bonus/mgr stuff
"Lets say i use 650 medals for 25k ftp points."
NOTHING UNTIL YOU USE THEM TO BUY [censored], THEN AS NORMAL.
