i know as played this is a river call, but being OOP i feel like i shoulda shut down

I'd bet $9ish on the river, sooo many hands you beat call a river vb. I think I like bet fold, cuz not many players raise this river w 2pair/worse straight.

smaller turn bet - about 3$
I bet this river about 7 or 8 and fold to a push/raise

you bet the river to get value out of two pair, JT, sets and so on. Many of these hands will check behind. unless you know the villian is capable of bluff raising here, this is a sure bet/fold situation.

what makes u think they're not raising 2pair here?

2 pair is suicidal to raise on end here when it has obv showdown value. As played there is likely c~10% chance he has 2 pair here given board texture and action.

Bet/fold clear winner IMO.
