You need to start describing your villains when you ask about hands...poker is not all about playing your 2 cards.

You beat nothing on the river except air so I fold the river.

You could prob 3bet his flop raise to 5 and try and get it in there if this guy is loose postflop, but playing it the way you did isnt too bad except like i said fold the river

Hell, I don't know. The whole situation sucks.

I mean, I don't really want to play overpair for entire stacks when I'm holding 11x the size of the pot on the flop, but I don't want to jump to give Villain credit for a set either.

Anyway, he strung you along, it worked, that river card blows, he still might have 77 or 55 though, and maybe it's a little bit unfortunate that the turn card improved your hand, since the "improvement" might be cosmetic versus what Villain is holding.

So those are my thoughts. Folding anywhere in this hand (except possibly on that horrible river card) seems massively exploitable but still might be best if people have monsters a large percentage of the time when they play a hand this way at NL10. (I'm unfamiliar with how the limit plays.)

At NL25, I think this would be a tough hand with no easy answers.

I think we even should consider folding the river. Are we good here enough to make this +EV? The only hand we're ahead of is TT and 99.

I would add in 77, 55, and bluffs (an extended bluff isn't too likely, but any bet from 33/22 would be a bluff at this point).

Nevertheless, it is true that the river card sucks.

I'm reraising his weak flop reraise and getting it in on the turn.

Mush on the flop after the re-raise you have a flush draw.

shoving the turn is better than calling the river when the board gets considerably worse. You may also have a redraw to the flush if he has a made hand.
