When you call the turn im curious for what card you would want on the river that would be better?

A diamond, but definitely not the A, K, or Q of diamonds. Assuming BTN has been c/c, betting with a jack the entire time, I see QJ, KJ, and AJ as his most likely other cards. I agree that this is a very good card for our hand, but I'd MUCH prefer to see a 4 of diamonds or another low card that is unlikely to fill our villan up.

That being said, why do we check the river? Intending to c/f? A cheap showdown? I really don't like the river check here.

In that case, if we think we have about 3 diamonds dead, i think we should be done with the hand?

Could villain just have an Ace?? At these limits its possible..

i don't agree. His overbet all-in is suspicious to me. Please remember that you have underrepresented your hand a lot. You took one barrel at the flop (c-bet) and it looks like you pretty gave up the hand at that point. It's very likely that he just had Jx or even Ax. Remember you are heads-up and villain has absolutely no idea you were drawing diamonds since last 2 diamonds are turn and river diamonds and you gave action just and only at the flop.

I would consider calling here very seriously.

Yeah, i dont think we should fold here at all.

I don't either, I'm just saying that the A of diamonds is by no means the best card to come for us.

why did you check the river? you beat everything but a full house and you dont value-bet?

You lose a lot of value when you check this river. Since villan is running at 30/11 here, I would probably lead this river and call a raise expecting him to show down JQ or JT.

What are everyone's views on cbetting this flop? I definitely don't think I'm doing it every time. There's a two people who both have pocket pairs as a big chunk of their range. The chance of folding out both isn't that great and then you're left on the defensive, especially if the caller is button since you're OOP.

c-betting into 2 players here is debatable, but I don't hate it...

turn is fine..

as played, call
