Do you call this guy or raise him? He plays pretty loose passive preflop an passive till river where he makes all his plays. With that said about his river aggression, what is he doing this with and how often is he doing it?

Man, that is a heckuva' raise. I call here.

I think that this may be one of the few times in 10NL where the only hand that calls a raise is the one that beats us.

I call, he could be trying to get value out of what looks like the 9 you hit on the turn with his rivered ace

You can't fold. The only hands he could have that beat you are hands made on the flop, 99, or AA. His play is entirely inconsistent with any of those hands. Therefore, you can't fold.

You can't raise. If villain slowplayed a monster, or luckboxed with a horribly played AA, he'll call and you'll lose money. If he's running a stupid bluff, he'll fold and you won't make any more money.

The bottom line is that there's nothing that you beat that will call a raise here and nothing that beats you that will fold. So even though you figure to have the best hand here, raising is -EV. Therefore, you must call.

Also, I lead flop here.

I call. If he was slowplaying the flop, then he could easily have a 7 with a kicker that actually plays (or possibly a flopped boat).

That said, I am expecting to win when I call, and if someone is raising, say, Ad6d this big on the river, he is probably calling a push. He might even call with 55. But I just call since we don't actually know that Villain makes big river raises with weak hands and then shows down those weak hands versus a push.
