This guy was smooth calling my bets and then pushed out of position. I felt it was a flopped set with which he was letting me hang myself.

Any thoughts?

I think a rivered flush is much more likely than a set.

I also think I like a bigger bet on the turn, especially given that Villain called your huge flop raise.

As played, I think the river fold is okay, but I would call if Villain pushed on a non-diamond. I'm kind of tempted to call anyway, to be honest, but the fold does seem reasonable to me.

yeah call if no diamond. with a hand like this you should bet more on the turn so he doesn't have a chance to chase his draws.
