What do you think of the argument that the legislator should control whether or not we get limited Class 3 (Blackjack, Bacarat) gambling revenues when Florida clearly needs the money for education. Who is fooling Who? Gambling permiates every facit of florida lifestyle already..why should special interests (led by the pro bush senate)tell us what is best for us. If I want to gamble...I will and If I dont...I wont. Its that simple.

The Legislature doesn't control it. That's the agreement worked out between the governor and the tribe. The Legislature in effect will only have veto power. They won't be able to change anything in the agreement. If they vote the agreement down or attempt to make any changes, it then will be out of the state's hands and the feds will take over.

They control more than you thing they do...Lets analyze it. The Govenor agrees to a compact to allow blackjack and bacarat pending legislative approval. The legislature does not approve the compact. If the govenor proceeds without their approval he risks a lawsuit which would last for years.

Outcome No class 3 gameing.

The govenor says let the Federal Indian Gaming affairs make the decision. They say OK lets give the Indians class 3 and >>>here is the catch<<< they approve class 3 SLOT machines only because that is whats currently legal in the State of Florida.

Outcome approval of class 3 slots for the indians, which is already available at all paramutuals currently.

No blackjack No bacarat and the same $100 limit buyin poker games simply because the legislature decided our future.
