SB is 22/11/2.1

I'm trying to figure out if it would have been better to raise on the flop. I didn't in the end because SB's donk bet looked pretty strong against a short stack and me the inital raiser. Would anyone play this differently?

With sb's donk and a call in front of you, it is safe to say that KK is not good very often. Raising would not be a good play, imo. You're drawing for a flush or possibly a set.

On flop, you are getting decent odds to draw. You need to win a small bet once you hit to make it profitable, but that seems reasonable.

On turn, you have immediate odds to draw.

I guess hand is fine. It feels wrong, but I cant see any other way to play it. Maybe I am missing something, though?

I think you played this fine.

I would play it the same, but I doubt you are good when the river whiffs.
