$0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

No reads on villan. I hadn't been at the table for long but I seemed to keep getting good cards which would have made me look pretty loose. lol.

Hero ($34.61)
MP ($32.11)
CO ($15)
Button ($24.65)
SB ($37.07)
BB ($30.04)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, Button calls $1, 1 fold, BB calls $0.75.

Flop: ($3.10) 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.5, Button raises to $5, BB folds, Hero raises to $34.61 (All-In).

Best value from this hand... I have to be way ahead of this guys range. I was thinking AQ/KQ (maybe an underset) after flop with a mind to not let me draw.

Thoughts?

You don't think he would do this with AsQx or AsXx? Still getting it in no matter what though.

My thoughts exactly, even more reason for the shove!

That all in doesnt sit right with me. You are risking 21$ to win 10$. Whats going to call that bet other than a flush which hoses you? Id say you call the raise then bet the turn. That way you dont risk so much to win so little.

Because I don't want villan drawing for cheap and if he is, I don't want him folding.

If he is drawing (ie. AsQx) and DOESNT hit, he is more likely to fold a turn bet.

If he isn't drawing and is trying to price me out with this flop raise, he may well fold if a club does hit on the turn.

If he flopped a flush then good on him!

FWIW, it's unlikely that he's trying to price you out. He's probably min-raising the flop because he wants to be called or because he's not sure what he thinks of his hand and wants to see how you'll react or because he's drawing and wants to slow you down.

Anyway, I think your play in the hand is fine, but there is the drawback that I doubt you're much of a favorite if called, but the push does at least protect your hand (I'm thinking most people will fold even the As without something to go with it, such as a Q for top pair).

Edit: Er, your flop 4-bet isn't really as big of an overpush as I thought, so I now think Villain will frequently call with the naked As. A smaller 4-bet just leaves you with a trivial-sized bet to make on the turn, too, so I think the push is, as Orange said, standard.

Sure he could have a flush...or a set...or two pair...or....

I can't really think of a flop that I'm folding a set on for 100bb.

All you can eat baby.
