Hi guys, first time poster.
Been reading the boards for a good while trying to improve my game, but have been taking a bit of a savaging lately, and am starting to question some of my plays.
Playing NL10 at the moment, as I figure if I can't beat this then I might as well walk...
History aside, had this situation tonight:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)
CO ($10.71)
Button ($9)
SB ($12.06)
BB ($4.90)
UTG ($2.40)
UTG+1 ($1.70)
Hero ($4.61)
MP2 ($2.15)
Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.4</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB calls $0.35, BB calls $0.30.
Flop: ($1.20) 9/images/graemlins/club.gif, 5/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $0.35</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $3.10, BB raises to $4.50 (All-In), Hero raises to $4.21 (All-In)</font>, SB calls $1.40.
Turn: ($7.05) 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
River: ($7.05) 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
Final Pot: $7.05
Positionally was it a bit dodgy to raise 55 from here? I was rather taken aback by the check-raise from the SB on the flop, but really wasn't expecting any sort of pocket pair given the lack of a reraise preflop.
Given how I've handled this hand, do I need to hit the books again?
