Do I play this hand differently?

I'm thinking I should have raised up pf; lots of loose aggression so I thought it better to limp... I had a feeling the SB pfr was a bit excessive... ie. probably not high pp.

The whole thing looks a bit messy from here.

It basically seems okay to me.

I think SB will have top pair or an overpair or even sometimes hands like JJ/TT/JT more often than QQ or 55 -- and probably considerably more often. His stats seem at least slightly LAG (over a small sample, though, I know), and I think you should be happy to get your money in here.

Edit: It sounds like you weren't happy anymore at showdown, but sometimes those are the breaks, and there's no point in the hand postflop where it makes sense to do anything other than try to get your stack in prior to showdown.

Without reads I am only calling preflop.

On the flop I make this like $10 to $12. $8 seems like too little.

Bet more on turn. At least $18 I would say. A shove is fine IMO.

My first reaction was that it's a little on the small side, but, you know, it's a 1/2 pot raise that sets up a 1/2 pot turn push, and that seems fine to me -- especially since the board isn't really all that draw-heavy. I mean, except for the relatively unlikely 76, the best flop draw someone could have is a gutshot.

Why are you overlimping with a pocket pair in the CO?

Just be glad someone started building a pot for you.

Flop is pretty dry and you are in position. It's pretty obvious you overlimped with a SC or PP. I doubt you are doing that w/ 67.

Raising or calling is fine.

I raise this preflop but whats the problem? You do realize you only lose to 1010 and QQ right? I don't really mind the small raise on the flop..there aren't really any scare cards that can come and you still don't have any problem getting it all in on the turn w/ 1/2 pot bet

preflop was poor, UNLESS you had a good read on the villain, and knew he wouldn't tolerate that many limpers in front of him. I'll do this at NL100 sometimes, knowing I only want to play my small pocket pairs for about a 4BB price preflop and want someone to try to push me around if I hit my set. No need to use plays like that at this level, so agree with everyone else, need a preflop raise here.

Postflop I thought was perfect. The bet sizing basically got the villain committed, probably on the flop.
