no reads on villian but i figure the min bet on the flop is weakness so i went for the cr

Why check raise a short stack on the flop with A high?

Just fold the flop, there's no point getting involved in this hand at all.

His minbet looks really weak, but a lot of players will do it with almost anything, even the nuts and near-nuts. Besides, even if he had like 2nd pair or something, he might have gone broke with his idiot $3 stack. I might have liked the c/r 2- or 3-handed, but 4-handed it's extremely likely that someone had a Q or something good enough to push with.

The turn check was perfect, though; after he called the flop raise, you figured he would bet, and by then, he would be committed. NH
