I was reraising because i suspected two big cards. As it turned out i think he had a reasonable overpair or a set, though a set is more unlikely because he hasnt been raising many hands, which i think takes low pairs out of his range.

Any thoughts?

Judging by what you said on his raising frequency, I think you're on the right track. I like your feeler raise, and in all likelihood it saved you money.
