Villain calls $0.90
Hero calls $0.75
*** FLOP *** [3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif T /images/graemlins/spade.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif]
Villain checks
Hero checks
BTN bets $2
Villain raises to $7
Hero raises to $26
BTN folds
Villain raises to $72.90, and is all in

Villain isn't very good, but decent and certainly not maniac. Both stacks are over 200 bb, can this mean anything else than a higher set? Aces slowplayed pf?

You have a set. Villain isn't very good. Obvious call.

So what did you hope to accomplish with your raise? To make worse hands fold? 3bet/fold a set getting 3:1 is about as dumd a play as you are ever going to do. Folding 33 here is only slightly less retarded than folding TT. If you have a read that this guy is the biggest nit ever (you donīt) and will only put the money in with a bigger set, 3bet/fold is not the way to go. I think open pushing with 72o pf is a more +EV move.

That's why I started questioning my rr-size.

Anyways, thanks for replies.. No way I could lay it down (my first set in like 8 or 9 sessions where I got action) even though I was almost positive he would only do that with an overset. The odds was way too good and my rr was maybe to big?
