Pot Size: $13.85 ($0.65 Rake)

Villain is pretty new to the table, but didn't seem like a station.

The turn bet was meant just to take the pot down for overcards that missed.

River improved us to a set, but the flush draw obviously hit as well. What's the best river line?

Bet/call
Bet/fold
check/call

post flop is ok up to the river why did you bet so little?
I prob wouldnt donk out on the turn but I think lead is ok but its pretty much just a bluff.

I like your flop and turn lines against an unknown. I think check/call is the best play on the river because you'll get bluffs from more hands you beat than you'll get calls when betting the river flush card.

Throwing a blocking bet of $4-$7 on the river is a good move, IMHO. If he raises you have a decision, but I like it.

I don't see the turn bet as a bluff, I think against most of an unknown's range it's a value bet. I put villain on two broadways or a flush draw much more often than a Q or better PP.

This was the original plan, but the problem is that if he shoves on top of me, I'll getting crazy odds to call because of the amount in the pot and his slightly short stack.

I'm not bad over the turn donk. I really don't see any worse hands calling this and your hand is too weak to call if this bet induces a turn bluff raise. Checking the turn gives villain the chance to bet weaker hands that he'd have otherwise folded giving us higher EV on the play.

Shove river. You can't bet/fold here when it's practically a minraise to you if he shoves.

Anyone repop this pf to like 2.25 or so?

Ya, a re-raise preflop isn't bad. Sometimes it makes it easier to play these middle pairs. I probably call here 60-70% of the time, r/r around 30-40%

First line above should read, "I'm not mad over turn donk"!

Is it just me or does anyone else not like the bet on the river? he called on the turn. very possible he has a flush draw. He's folding that river with top pair. I check call the river.

I agree, I think there's little/no value in the river bet and much prefer a c/c to try and induce a bet from Qx and UI OCs.
