$0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker (http://www.legopoker.com) Hand History Converter (http://www.legopoker.com/hh))

Villan is 35/10/.4(50) and apparently pretty paranoid about the FD.

SB: $10.45
BB: $38.52
UTG: $26.78
MP: $23.94
Hero (CO): $35.06
BTN: $19.97

Preflop: Hero is dealt 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif (6 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $1.00, BTN calls $1.00, 2 folds

Flop: ($2.35) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif 6/images/graemlins/spade.gif 5/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.25, Hero calls $2.25

Turn: ($6.85) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 Players)
Hero bets $4.00, BTN folds

Pot Size: $10.85

With 18 outs:

-3 for two pair
-2 for trips
-4 for straight
-9 for flush

I figured I was well ahead of his range.

Is there any way I could have played the lop differently to stop it looking like I was simply flush hunting?

I bet 3-bet All-in on this flop all day long.

I always cbet this flop, it disguises your hand a little better, and if he has a hand you'll get a nice raise that you can 3BAI.

If he's got nothing to protect you won't get much out of him anyway, right?

cbet here please. You got a dream flop for your hand against a passive station. Start building the pot.

Was it you playing in the 2p2 game yesterday?

you get it all in on the flop guys must really love variance

villain will only call your allin with a hand that beats yours, either a higher piece of the board, a straight, or an over pair, he also could have a better flush draw

you must remember that the odds are that the flush draw won't hit

you should def cbet tho

Odds are Hero is winning this hand by a lot on the flop. Getting this in on the flop isn't variance, it is just smart.

This is when you should consider calling a combodraw instead of raising it:

1. The pot is small, stacks are large (AKA Big SPR)
2. You are on the small side for combodraw outs (11-13)
3. There is reason to believe Villain has a hand he will not fold, or he is a hopeless non-believer Calling Station.
4. Many of your draws are non-obvious.
