Hey all –

I am new to Pokertracker and 2+2, so first of all a big hello!

I have been 8 tabling during the last week or so on Pokerstars and wanted to know if you find these stats somewhat normal. I feel like I play a lot tighter than if I was playing 2 or 3 tables. ( I assume that is an obvious statement) anyway –

I have been working on getting my “Folded SB/BB to a steal” lower but sometimes I feel like I am spewing chips when I do that.

6000 hands.
VPIP 17.78%
FOLDED SB to a steal 88%
Folded BB to a steal 79%
PF raise 13.36%

thanks in advance

Fine stats imo. But the sample is no where near big enough.

what is a good sample size?

10,000 20,000 or 100,000

thanks

btw -- I am a recreational player but want to buy toys from monies earned.

100k is sort of a good sample size

a good sample size to determine your vpip/pfr is probably 1k. a good sample size to determine which hands you're winning and losing with is probably 100k.

This isn't a MTT, you don't have to defend your blinds. You can win way more easily by raising the button than you can by trying to play against a button raiser when you're OOP.

Your VPIP and PFR are 'okay', but I'd try to get to be like 18/16 or 17.5/15, you don't need to be calling to get in marginal spots when you're not the aggressor when you're playing 8 tables. Minimize your marginal spots and you can profit pretty well.
