That's fine, I'd prolly play it same. He's probably not calling a river bet with worse but check might induce bluff &amp; is good for pot control. That seems awful lot like a value bet though, but I'm not folding a set here. They show A8 etc too many times.

I'd bet more on the turn though for value against calling stations.

Why do you bet the turn so small? I c/c the turn.

The problem is, if i check the turn and villain makes a bet close to pot size, i can't just call. Ok, i can, but then the pot is $18, villain has $14 left and is pot commited. Tough decision if he shoves river.

I thought, this was a WA/WB situation and tried to play a medium-sized pot. My plan was to fold to a turn reraise and to c/c a small river bet.
