open raiser was playing 15.4/10.8 over 65 hands. He seemed competent as he was isolating the fish a lot and rasing 4x, and also i saw him stack a dude. I have been playing pretty tight but will not be viewed as a huge nit. This is my first time i have a situation that seems like an EASY re raise. But considering my image, the fact i haven't 3 betted anyone yet, and the likelyhood villain will fold out hands i crush ( KQ,JQ,Kt,Aq etc.) shouldn't i flat call this a good precentage of the time ( say 75 %)? what do you guys think?

No...definately not. You are in position with a great hand. Get more money in there now. Believe me...3bets dont always scare off those hands...ive seen a hell of a lot worse.

the more you 3bet the more valueable big hands become. Do this for image and for value.

Don't overthink the situation, just 3bet AKs like ur supposed to. If he folds, then gh.

it seems to me, every time I 3 bet a tight/good player with a great hand they fold and i win $1.

AK isnt ahand you want to trap with. be happy you won the pot without having to see a flop

It's ok to mix it up, maybe just call like 10% of the time. But it seems the issue is your 3betting range is just too tight. Loosen up a bit - you can always let the hand go later - stealing when villain misses the flop makes up for your lighter 3betting range.

I actually think you should prefer to get called given you are way ahead of villain's range and take down the pot postflop the majority of the time = more money.
