I'm posting 2 hands here (HH not available) to mostly get feedback on what your calling range is like against maniac players.

The villain in question is something like 58/20 and has been pretty aggressive post-flop. Assume we both have about 100BB in each case.

Hand 1:

25nl, FTP

Hero is dealt 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif8/images/graemlins/spade.gif in LP

Preflop:
folds around, I raise to .85, maniac calls in a blind.

Flop: ($2) J/images/graemlins/heart.gifJ/images/graemlins/club.gif9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Villain donkbets $1.50
Hero calls

Turn: ($5) J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Villain open shoves (around $20)
Hero?

-------------------

Hand 2:

Hero is dealt A/images/graemlins/club.gifA/images/graemlins/heart.gif on the button

Preflop:
Same action as before, A limper or two, I raise, villain cold calls in a blind, we go heads up to the flop.

Flop: ($2) K/images/graemlins/diamond.gifQ/images/graemlins/heart.gifT/images/graemlins/spade.gif
Villain donkbets $2, I call (?)

Turn: ($6) 8/images/graemlins/club.gif
Villain bets $7
Hero?

I assume both are pretty much shove or fold. Do these look like good spots to get it all in?

I'd get all my chips in the middle in both hands.

Call me nitty, but I think I'm folding hand 2. That's an ugly-ass flop.

i prolly raise the flop on both hands tbh. (especially hand 2)

but i am content to get it all in against a maniac rather care free

What's the point in raising hand #2?

The only advantage is protecting against a draw w/ a J, but I'm only enticing more action from 2 pair.

Also, what hand do you put villain on in hand #1? Do maniacs really open shove these boards with 22-88 ?

Value, his range is much wider than KQ, KT, QT.

In the first hand if hes got the jack hes not shoving all in, thats absolutely the worst possible play when holding the quads so i'd get it in right here for a possible chop or hes got A high. The second hand Ive had a lot with maniacs online and I honestly 9/10 in this spot catch them betting out open ended having the J here.

I would call hand one, and I would raise the flop in hand two for value and hope beyond hope to get it all in right there.
