I'd bet turn with an A. But check behind here with a Q and hope he bluffs river. Judging from His VPip and his river aggression factor I think there's a good chance.

Agree.. Check the turn then play the river based on reads - i think calling and folding both have merit but I'd probably lean towards folding given the river card. As played fold the river.

why would someone play top pair so passive? this is a hand use to fold 100% of the time but now i'm calling it and my results are going through the roof. this guy had a fd

This guy might have a fd on a lot of boards, but probably not this one. Your hand looks exactly like an Ace, and villain can't think you fold an Ace here, since everything from AJ down is a chop.

If you called and he showed a busted draw, consider yourself lucky that villain has no brain.

Check turn, then call the non-spade river. Position is what gets you through hands like this without losing too much when behind.
