1: perfect!
2: I usualy fold the turn but a lot depends on villain. You draw is weak (an 8 could give him a better straight) and it's not concealed, meaning that you wouldn't be able to get payed if you hit.

Both hands: Why are you limping UTG with these hands if you are just going to call a pre flop raise anyway. Should have raised that [Censored] up on both hands UTG, giving you an extra way to win.

Hand 1: Looks fine to me, you got your set, get the $$$ in. IMO, if Villain has AK or bigger set its a cooler.

Hand 2: Fold flop or raise if you think he's weak. Your calling for the bottom end of the straight? I'm never betting the river here.

Also, any reason for not playing with a full buy in?

I like hand one quite a bit. I think I play it the same.

For hand 2, I think a raise on the flop would be good. You'll get rid of the air and take the betting lead. If called, you check behind unimproved on the turn. It's a way of buying two cards. (Someone correct me if this is a wrong assumption.) As played, I fold the turn.

How did you come to that assumption? What do you know about the opponent that led you to believe this? When determining to bet or check this down, you need to estimate your folding equity for a given bet size and then determine if it's enough to warrant making the bet. (I'm assuming this bet is a bluff and not a sick value bet.)

I agree that four handed you should be raising pre-flop in both hands.

In hand 1, his line really looks a lot like AK to me. I'd expect to be behind here a lot if I get all-in, but on the other hand I don't really see folding or calling the turn either. For those who like getting it in, do you expect to be ahead most of the time, against a smaller set or QJ? I don't see naked flush draws here very often at .01/.02.

I normally fold the turn in hand 2, and maybe even the flop depending on how frequently the villain has been c-betting.
