callers!!!

First of all, hello to all, am new here so go careful with me!

At the level i play nl10, when i enter a pot i always raise 4xbb(always with class 1 to 3 hands and in position), what frustrates me are all the callers.

I know you will say they're making mistakes and they will pay you off in the long run, this i understand, but how do you deal with the mental side of getting consistently beat by people who call with rubbish?

Should say at this point, i'm pretty new to the poker scene.

If you are raising preflop and are getting a lot of calls, then you should:

1. Make sure you are raising for value or because you are in position.
2. C-bet less often when you miss against multiple callers.
3. Be happy you found a table that will give you value.

As i said i'm only raising in position with the top 3 tier starting hands.

Unless i hit a piece of the flop, i don't cb.

Are you saying then that i should call more often to trap, and not raise?

Perhaps that is the way to play these poker limits, as so many people call any raise with anything it's rediculous

Continuation bets are very important part of the game. Dont get gun shy. HU you should CB a large percentage of the time whether you hit or miss. If you are getting too many callers with your preflop raise, add 1 or 2 bb's to your standard raise. You should be playing poker against 1 or 2 villans with hands you are playing.

Search for continuation bet posts there are a few that have some good examples of when to and when not too CB with reasoning.

Keep doing what you're doing.

Raise your best hands in position and let the fish, who've limped in with A9o, call your raise when you have, say, QQ on the button.

Then watch them call you down when you flop an overpair on a 9xx flop.

Even more fun, watch them call you down when the flop comes Q9x.

Your top pair good kicker, against their top pair weak kicker, is another goldmine you should exploit.

At the micro stakes, people will call all day with very little.

However you can't have it all ways - having made a fortune from them preflop, and another fortune from them when you hit the flop, you can't expect to drag pots down with a ton of c-betting against very loose opponents.

Raise good hands preflop, and value bet 'em to death when you get the chance.

sorry, didn't make myself clear, with 3 or more callers i don't c bet is what i should've said.
