My thought at the time was that his limp/call was either a random Jack or a weak Ace, and that a weak Ace probably wouldn't get too aggro here (unless it's Ax clubs)

Also he could just be trying to take me off a c-bet on a scary board.

so, fold, call/fold to a big river bet, raise? What's your line here?

I think call/fold seems to be the best, especially if a spade hits.
