"Datamining FullTilt"

I've heard this term used a lot and people say doing this is not actually datamining. Let me see if I understand this correct....I can open as many tables as I want and have my pokertracker auto-import hands and it will log the hand histories even though I am not at the table?? Can I even see the mucked hands or only if I am sitting... Just want the details on this so called "datamining"....thanks
