Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker (http://www.legopoker.com) Hand History Converter (http://www.legopoker.com/hh))

SB: $27.55
BB: $32.55
UTG: $25.00
CO: $26.15
Hero (BTN): $95.35

Preflop: Hero is dealt 3/images/graemlins/club.gif 3/images/graemlins/spade.gif (5 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, SB raises to $3.00, 1 fold

I'm running around 23/20 with a attempt to steal blinds of 34%.

I have this reg running at 20/20 over 89 hands this is the third time he has 3bet me at this table after ive opened the button. 2nd straight orbit..other times i was stealing with garbage so not even a question but now i have a hand.

I'm not getting direct odds to play for set value so calling and folding all flops w/o a 3 is out of the question, but is calling and going to war on flops +EV or no? Without any further reads i think it will end up being spew, but if i don't start taking flops how can i gain further reads on how he plays postflop in 3bet pots?

Any advice is appreciated

you DO have odds to play for a set.......

Maybe we could help you more if you explained to us why you think you don't have odds to call.

you cant play for set value if he 3bet u light. 4bet or call and possibly float flop is your only choises. i like 4 bet or fold best.

4bet or shove if u really rely on the read. Otherwise call and c/r his flop cbet. I like 4betting preflop here because as u stated he's overaggro and u have to stop the abuse sometime.

If I am SB, I love seeing you shove here no matter what I hold.

So if you're 3betting someone light you like it when they shove over your 3bet?

Switch Tables. You don't want a player like this on your left. That's the great thing about on-line - lots of tables at the stakes you play. You want passive players in the blinds behind you.

Start 4-betting him light then.

I absolutely want someone like this on my left. The key here is that we need to pick our spot and determine when and how we will extract the most value from him.

Here we have a pocket pair. We have position. And we have odds to call and hit our set. I take this opportunity to call and reassess my level of commitment to my mighty 3's based upon the flop and his post flop reaction (I assume that I will see a cbet though).

Thats true we can call and float him.

Are we still talking about the SB in the OP? I would be ecstatic.
