First orbit, villain unknown

What's your standard turnplay in this spot? Bet/fold? I feel like I really butchered this. And, as played, do you call the river? Bet-sizing makes him seem fishy, could he take this line with K9 or something?

I would usually plan on leading this turn. But that card messess things up. However, implied odds click in. I would check planning to fold to a decent bet, but his bet is way to small fold.

raising sc's from the SB is a bad idea.

Lol are you suggesting to fold JTs to a limper?

no...dont get me wrong I am pretty damn aggro from the SB. But this isn't a spot to raise. This is one of the few times I complete.

I play aggressive so with a two way draw like that a huge check raise postflop would've been nice but you dont know that hes going to hit. So based on your position, i definitely fire a nicely sized bet on the turn and as for the river bet, you missed completely but spiked top pair, 10 bucks here isn't a hard call.

I think completing or raising here preflop is fine, I would do it differently based upon the BB. If the BB is a decent player, I probably don't limp so that I don't get squeezed off the hand. If the BB is a calling station with a big stack and I'm also really deep I probably also raise. Here, with the BB being short stacked, I think limping is the best option, but there's nothing really wrong with raising. No way do you fold this, though.

Flop action is standard, I'd lead the turn, though. As played I fold river (put him on a bigger T?).

There's nothing wrong with your line. Firing the turn is probably less exploitable but against a guy who wont fold any piece of the board I like this hand.

I hate the raise preflop
otherwise it seems fine

Ok, thanks. I'm gonna think through preflop, I've practically never completed the SB with only one limper.

I would just complete the SB also. Flop is standard. As for turn, at least in small stakes, I think you played very well. He probably won´t fold to you now, and also the 5 complete a quite probable draw. So you check and call with good odds. Then river I think you played well again, though I see myself calling too much is spots like this.

I probably play it the same. Two questions for you.

1. Always raising from SB with 1 limper. I usually avoid playing raised pots OOP, and this seems to put you exactly in that position. Why?
2. Do you think he could play a set this way, betting small because of many possible str8s?

Yeah, I hate raising from SB. Other than that this seems fine, I think there are a lot of close-to-neutral ev decisions in this hand (betting the turn, calling the the river).

complete sb, bet flop/turn = best line

it's good to mix up your play in the blinds but in this cause he has 40bb and seems like a passive player i'd just complete from the blinds
