View Full Version : Best bonus for a 0.25/0.50 player?

My friend is starting online poker and I'm doing some research for him. What's the best place for a $0.25/0.50 player in terms of (in order of importance):

- game quality
- bonus clearance rate
- bonus amount
- deposit needed?

Thanks,

Tyler

I got a friend started recently, we went for paradise via PSO (and not just cos I got as referal credit <G>)

.25/.50 there is really soft, bonus clearence is not stellar, but not too bad, I think we got about 1/4 of hands played counting as raked for the bonus.

He was pretty much winning from day one, the SSH tight game chart and a basic bit help from me on pot odds got him off to a good start.

FWIW I played that same games (different tables) while sweating him to try to get a feel for it myself and ran 10BB/100 over about 4k hands (yes I know I ran good)

That built his ($200) roll up enough that he's now off to deposit $500 at party to spend some time on the beginner tables there, and buy his own copy of SSH with his amazon vouchers from PSO /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The question you asked is kind of difficult to answer since it is very hard to get any kind of clearance rate at .25/.5 FL at a soft site. Perhaps Poker Rewards, a Prima site with 10x min .25 rake, or Casino.net, a Boss site with 10x contributed raked bonus ,any rake, would be best. However the way for your friend to get a bankroll is to play $25 NL/PL Hold`em at Party with a $500 dollar bankroll. The blinds are the basically the same, .1/.25, just have him play a minimum stack, $5, and rabbithole if he ever gets to $12. Since the bonus is 5x raked .1 up to $100 for the sign up bonus and then IGM is the same again your friend should be able to rack up $100 extra even with poorish play. Party poker is also one of the softest on the net. The Pacific game is also soft but the clearance rate is slow though you can play risk free since they give you the $100 bonus up front.

Note: If your friend does the PSO promo for Pacific or Party he can get a free $60 gift certificate while clearing either of these sites.

thanks both. he's not interested in playing NL and the clearance rate doesn't really matter. he's played about 4000 hands at PS 0.1/0.2 and is just looking for something more rewarding to build his bankroll up.

i think Paradise is a good start (that was my first thought).

What is your bankroll now if I may ask? On UB, I played alot of the $5 NLH SNG's. I was at about 200% in about 100 of them. 75% or the players are just awful when 2-4 handed.

Sun Poker was Ok for me, I mostly 4-tabled .5/1 limit HL with 1 25PLO game in the mix ( I nut peddled). It was ok because they have a monthly bonus that clears concurrently. So after 250 raked hands you get $90 bucks. (.25-.99 is 1/4 point) The first time bonus was $50 and the $40 monthly bonus (its automatic, no code needed).

I would do Casino.net. I just cleared their $100 signup bonus with 12 hours of play at the .25/50 TRY Limit 5 Card Draw Tables. It's going to be hard to beat $8/hr playing at these limits. PM if you want more info and I will give you my URL for my blog. I started a guide for microlimts.

No need to look around for the best site anymore.

Poker4Ever. 400 deposit gets a 200 bonus through either PokerVoyeurs or PokerNews affiliates.

Bonus clears even at the .05/.10 limit games.

Fastest clearing bonus at these limits of any site I know of. Perfect for your friend.

New site, few players, juicy low limit games, pokervoyeurs and pokernews affiliates that offer best bonus. Other perks for players are daily freerolls requiring some raked hand play that have low numbers playing.

I cleared this bonus. I'm sticking around. Cashouts were quick. They appear well financed. They had huge freerolls last month from 50k to 4 seats in major tournaments. Not many played in them either. Good promotional values. Not sure if they will offer similar in March though. Feb was grand opening month.

The bonus is the best for your friend though. Theres nothing else out there that is set up for micro limit play like this one.

Damn, do you know if they take neteller instacash? Maybe I can reverse the neteller trans I was making to do Party.

Yes, its 7X. A pot that is raked .50 gives everyone at the table one rake point. They give smaller increments for pots raked less than .50. .05 gives .10 of a RP, A quarter rake gives half of a rake point, etc etc. It's a damn good clearing bonus and everyone should do this if you like good bonuses.

Looks like a new promotion came out today. Play 5000 rake points in March for a guaranteed heads up match agains Men "Master" Nguyen. Only a $500 prize and some swag, but it would be cool to play the Master HU. I may do that. 5000 rake points is not that much, and do a little ever day to qualify for the daily freerolls gives a lot of value in addition.

Just be sure to sign up through an affiliate link for the $200. The site directly only offers $100 max. Like I said, the only two affiliates I saw offering this were Pokervoyeurs.com and PokerNews.com. PokerVoyeurs was more helpful to me, and that's the one I'd choose. PokerNews link only gave me $40 bonus but they said that was a mistake. I had to cancel that signup and it was a hassle.

I just checked, I don't see the instacash as an option there.

Well it doesn't sound like that good of deal to me unless I'm reading it wrong. Here is what it says:

"One rake point is awarded each time min. $0.50 is paid in rake. For example, if there is a pot size of $20 at Hold'em Limit $1/$2, the rake is $1 and you earn max. 1 rake point. In tournaments, two rake points per 1 dollar entry fee are also given; for example, for a buy in $25 + $2 fee tournament, four rake points are added.

For our players who prefer lower limit games, e.g. $0.25/$0.50, it is also possible to earn rake points and receive bonuses. For a $0.05 rake you get 0.1 rake point. These fractional point values will be added up and saved for you."

https://www2.poker4ever.com/EN.rules.rake.rake-points

Seems like it would take quite a while to clear. The Casino.net is better in my opinion.

Empire Poker has a $100 bonus for 500 raked hands. In the beginners hold em tables you can play .15/.30. The Rake starts when the pot reaches $1. I am not sure this is still correct after Party bought Empire a few weeks ago but it's worth checking out for a microlimit money making man.

No, it doesn't take long to clear at all. You aren't going to find many sites that let you clear a bonus like this at microlimits. It's more than 100% rake back equivelent.

I did the casinonet bonus. That's also another great one for microlimit players. They are both good. But at P4E you can also get another $200 in freeroll value on top of the bonus each month. For example, I played 50 rake points today to get into a $600 free roll with 140 players. So thats like another $4 in bonus for 50 RP's. Or 8 cents a hand extra on top of the signup bonus.

The freerolls probably do add a little to it. I may have to check it out for the guys I'm helping with small bankrolls.

Might turn out to be a good one after doing the casino.net one for them.

There are a lot of good sugestions here, but I really don't see anything that can beat signing up to Party through InstantBankroll.com. For a 50$ deposit you get a 125$ bonus, 500 raked hands to clear.
For a 100$ deposit you get 150$ bonus, 1000 hands to clear. Does anyone know of a downside to taking this offer? I havent done it myself.

I think this offer comes out very well on all four points mentioned.

Here's another one for Party I came across. Depending on how much he will play there, he might be interested in checking this out. I havent' used this affiliate, so it's buyer beware.

If I am allowed to post the link, I will post it for you. I am not sure what the rules are about that. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
